Sicilia! 11

Posted by
L'explorateur (Vancouver, Canada) on 1 April 2011 in Food & Cuisine and Portfolio.

This is the image #11 (of 12) of the Sicilian series.

The cask in the foreground contains Marsala wine produced in 1939!
Marsala is a very strong wine. It lasts for ages, it only gets better and better with time.
I have seen bottles from 1889!
I also had the great opportunity to smell the inside part of this cork. I simply melted away...

Quasi commovente...

I'm a heathen when it comes to wine-I don't know a good one from a bad one, but I bet you had real enjoyment on the day that you were there

I love the color and composition of your image. The warm tone of the picture seems to match the mellowed with age wine of your caption.
