Bleeding-heart flowers. It was the first time that I saw one of these flowers. I found it in a secondary street in Steveston, a harbor village not that far from Vancouver. A gift of nature.

wonderful closeup of this beautiful flower! brings back the colours of spring at a time of white!

@Franz: The colors are really intense. I will look for them next year. I found out that they have different names: Venus's car, bleeding heart, Dutchman's trousers or lyre flower. The latin name is Dicentra Spectabilis. They are originally from China, Korea and Japan.
